Ingredients

  • 6 eggs
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 pint heavy cream, whipped
  • 1 pint milk
  • 1 pint whiskey (optional)
  • 1 pint rum (optional)
  • nutmeg

Directions

Ensure all ingredients are well chilled before starting this recipe.

  1. Separate eggs and beat egg yolks, adding 1/2 cup sugar while beating.
  2. Beat egg whites and add 1/4 cup sugar after egg whites are stiff.
  3. Fold the yolks and white together.
  4. Stir in milk and whipped cream.
  5. Liquor can be added at this time.
  6. Let set for 30 minutes before serving.
  7. Top with nutmeg.
