Ingredients#
- 6 eggs
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 pint heavy cream, whipped
- 1 pint milk
- 1 pint whiskey (optional)
- 1 pint rum (optional)
- nutmeg
Directions#
Ensure all ingredients are well chilled before starting this recipe.
- Separate eggs and beat egg yolks, adding 1/2 cup sugar while beating.
- Beat egg whites and add 1/4 cup sugar after egg whites are stiff.
- Fold the yolks and white together.
- Stir in milk and whipped cream.
- Liquor can be added at this time.
- Let set for 30 minutes before serving.
- Top with nutmeg.
