Ingredients
#- 1 medium onion, minced
- 5 tbsp butter
- 1/3 cup flour
- 4 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 12 oz crab meat
- 2 medium potatoes
- 1 small green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 celery rib
- 9 oz corn
- 1 cup half-and-half
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tbsp fresh chopped parsley
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp pepper
Directions
#- In a large saucepan, saute onion in butter until tender.
- Add flour, then cook and stir until thick and bubbly.
- Gradually add milk, cook and stir until thickened.
- Add all remaining ingredients.
- Cover and simmer until vegetables are tender, about 35 - 40 minutes.
- Remove bay leaf before serving.
