Ingredients

  • 3/4 cups beer
  • 1 lbs cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/4 tsp ground cayenne
  • 1-1/2 tsp ground mustard
  • 2 tbsp worcestershire sauce

Directions

  1. Peel the garlic and cut in half. Rub the cut sides over the inside of the pot.
  2. In a bowl, combine the cheddar cheese, flour, ground mustard and cayenne; mix to blend thoroughly.
  3. In the pot, combine the beer and worcestershire sauce, then heat until bubbling.
  4. Gradually add the cheese mixture while stirring constantly. Cook until the cheese has melted and the mixture is smooth and lump-free.
  5. Serve while warm or the cheese will solidify.
